We are extremely proud of our awards. We are delighted to have been recognised as a ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Small Company to Work For’ for nine years. This award recognises how we value and engage all employees. It also acknowledges our commitment to local and national community projects, as well as environmental policies.
We are also delighted to have been named as a ‘Great Place to Work®’. Great Place to Work®, in partnership with the Guardian and Sunday Telegraph, is recognised worldwide and celebrates trust and engagement within an organisation. Additionally, in 2019 we were also presented with the Great Place to Work® Excellence in Wellbeing Award – an award only given to companies who are committed to creating a happier and healthier work environment. Most recently, we were awarded with a ‘Great Place to Work® 2019 UK Best Workplaces for Women’ (medium sized organisation category).
In April 2022, Instarmac were honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2022. Now in its 56th year, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious business award in the country, with hundreds of businesses applying each year in the hope of receiving this coveted accolade.
We are extremely honoured to receive the highly esteemed Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2022 – an award only given to businesses with outstanding overseas trading activities.
On this prestigious honour, Tim Boniface, Group Finance Director at Instarmac, commented: “Everyone at Instarmac is delighted to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – even more so to receive it in the same year of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
We are very proud of our international partners and our history trading across the globe. We have been working with our manufacturing licensees for many years and are full of pride to see their success in making the world’s roads as safe as possible.
I am beyond excited to represent Instarmac at a Royal reception later this year and to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant for Staffordshire to our world-class manufacturing facilities in Tamworth.”
These achievements are the latest in a long line of awards. We have been placed in 20th position in the 75 Best Companies to Work For in the Midlands, been ranked number one in the Mid Market 300, were named as a Low-Risk Operator by the DVSA, were presented with the coveted RoSPA Gold Medal Award for nine consecutive years, and completed the transition to the new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 accreditations, one of the first companies to do so.
In 2021, we were delighted to see our Technical Training and Site Support Manager, Martin Pouncey, be named as Employee of the Year at the tile industry’s leading awards ceremony.
“We are very proud to have received this recognition from Great Place to Work®’ 2019 Best Workplaces for Women. We work hard here to ensure our recruitment and hiring is inclusive, as well as ensuring fairness around pay, recognition, training and development opportunities and work/life balance. This award helps us to strive to do better, as well as recognising the ways we have contributed to provide a supportive environment for women to progress within their careers and balance their work and family commitments”
