Birmingham Rock Up

Wondertex has helped created the exhilarating climbing walls and challenges at Birmingham Rock Up indoor climbing centre.

X & Y Partitions were contracted to complete all the drylining of the new centre’s 26 climbs, some of which tower over 25 feet high – a little different to the average walls normally tackled by the team!

The 2000m² project was carried out using prem filler, prem finish and the Self Adhesive Tape from the Wondertex professional drylining range.

prem filler, plasterboard joint filler, is specially formulated for expert dryliners and used nationwide with its sister product prem finish, a plasterboard finishing compound.  A soft, workable density and smooth texture allow for outstanding product application.  prem filler is fast setting and dries quickly for early finish coat application.  Finished joints are always robust and durable thanks to the hard set and exceptional adhesion of prem filler.

prem filler is available in 12.5kg bags nationwide and may be used for the bedding and filling of tapes, external metal angles and corner tapes, as well as for repair work.

prem finish is suitable for the finishing of all plasterboard joints and has been specially developed for hand and machine jointing, prem finish is available in 25kg bags.  The product boasts an extended working time resulting in minimal wastage.  Once dry, the product is effortless to sand and smoothes down perfectly creating an allover seamless surface.  Kevin Shemwell, X & Y Partitions states: “prem finish is the easiest product I have ever sanded down in over 25 years.”
