Instarmac know it’s their people, each with their unique background, skills, experience and knowledge that drive their ongoing success. That is why Instarmac strive to attract, develop and retain a highly talented workforce.
Instarmac are committed to making a positive and lasting contribution to the local community. They have taken a proactive and committed approach to increasing the representation of local people in their workforce, and currently, 40% of staff live within a 15 mile radius of their Tamworth office.
What’s more, Instarmac also operate a ‘Refer a Friend’ policy, which is opening doors to more local people and are engaging with local businesses, school and charities as part of their Positive Steps wellbeing programme.
Instarmac’s support of their local workforce doesn’t end there! Instarmac understand that the future of work will require an agile, resilient and connected workforce to respond to ever-changing circumstances and customer needs. As a business, Instarmac are always looking at future skills development and new ways of working, with the aim of helping employees grow and prosper.
Nurturing employee development is evidenced in a number of ways. Instarmac are currently upskilling members of their team with over 40 employees working through their ‘Leadership Development Programme’. Furthermore, Instarmac are also running a ‘Factory to Fleet’ training programme as an intuitive way of addressing the current shortfall of drivers whilst providing new opportunities to their employees.
“I joined Instarmac in 2018 as part of the Graduate Development Programme. I was delighted to complete the course in October 2019, ahead of schedule, and be promoted to Area Sales Manager. I learnt a lot during the Graduate Development Programme. The extensive product and technical training, role appreciation and personal skill development provided a great foundation for my current role.” Josh Jinks, Area Sales Manager at Instarmac.
Instarmac know that during the pandemic young people have struggled the most in terms of employment. To try and help young adults find employment in their local area, Instarmac are supporting the Government Kickstart Scheme in providing opportunities for 16-24 year olds who are at greater risk of long term unemployment.
Hard work does not go unnoticed at Instarmac. Employees have access to competitive benefits, aimed at showing them how proud they should be of their work and the commitment Instarmac has to their wellbeing.
Employee benefits include pension schemes, private medical cover, life insurance, dental cover, up to 29 days holiday, performance and profit related pay, free access to three holiday homes, foodie days and prize draws.
These are just some of the reasons why Instarmac is a local employer of choice. If you would like to join Instarmac’s award-winning team, please take a look at their list of current vacancies.
