Tamworth manufacturer, Instarmac Group plc, has donated £25,000 to Help Harry Help Others Cancer Charity

Instarmac Group plc, a market-leading manufacturer, has generously donated £25,000 to the Help Harry Help Others Cancer Charity – an organisation dedicated to supporting adults and children affected by cancer.

Help Harry Help Others was founded by 1- year Harry Moseley before he tragically lost his battle with cancer in 2011. After Harry’s passing, his mum Georgie, demonstrated remarkable resolve by carrying on his incredible work. In the years since, she has provided critical assistance to thousands of families through the Solihull and Birmingham communities.

In 2015, Georgie and her team opened the first drop-in cancer support centre of its kind in Birmingham and Instarmac are honoured to have donated £25,000 towards the running costs of this essential centre for the second year running.

Instarmac Group Holdings CEO, John Holcroft, shared: “The Instarmac motto Work Hard, Have Fun, Make a Difference is followed not just by employees but is echoed across all our activities in the wider community.

“I remember seeing Harry on Central News; his passion and commitment to fundraise rallied the community and even united competing football teams into purchasing his beads. The charity continues in Harry’s name, helping all those affected by cancer.

“The phenomenal work the team do in the community I grew up in really resonates with me and I am delighted we are once again able to provide financial support, allowing Georgie and the team to concentrate on helping those most at need.”

Lizzie Elston, Managing Director at Instarmac, also commented: “When John introduced Georgie and Help Harry Help Others to the Instarmac Board we were astonished by the level of support this charity provides in the local community to all those affected by cancer. We agreed without hesitancy to continue our sponsorship by donating the annual rent for the Drop-In Support Centre. This donation should hopefully allow the team to concentrate their efforts on providing families with counselling, financial and housing advice, workshops, and support groups, as well as alternative therapies – all of which are provided completely free of charge and are a lifeline to all those navigating the effects of cancer.”

On Instarmac’s donation, Georgie Moseley, Harry’s mum and founder said: “We are incredible grateful and blown away by the overwhelming support from Instarmac. £25,000 is a huge sum of money to donate. Instarmac’s ongoing support is appreciated and testament to Instarmac’s values on supporting local causes. I smile at their plaque, which hangs proudly on our centre, every single morning when I enter our building. Thank you to Instarmac for remaining by our side for another year.”
