UltraScape launches post tension cable grout

UltraScape are expanding their portfolio of market-leading materials to bring the industry PT cable grout – a specially formulated Portland cement powder mix designed for the grouting of cables in post-tensioned concrete.

Post tension cables are a critical component of concrete construction and refurbishment as they add strength and improve structural performance. They are commonly used in the assembly of bridges, floor slabs, buildings and stadiums.

There are many benefits to utilising post tension cables in construction. They allow for more flexible building designs, are safe to install and result in lighter structures reducing foundation necessities.

That being said, in order to utilise post tension cables, it is imperative that a CARES and EN 446(2007) compliant grout is used to install them. Using inferior products can compromise the cables resulting in unspeakable disasters such as structural failure, injury or even death.

The mix design of UltraScape PT cable grout consists of a blend of fine and ultra fine cements plus a set of synergistic admixtures. The material readily mixes with water to produce a flowable grout which penetrates and fills fine voids within, and around, the cables which hardens without shrinking, to give a high strength finish.

UltraScape PT cable grout is proven for EN 446(2007) and CARES Appendix PT10 procedures. What’s more, it will withstand static and dynamic stresses and contains corrosion inhibitors, giving you peace of mind that once installed, your post tension cables are safe and secure and will not corrode.
