UltraTile, a leading manufacturer of premium tile adhesives and grouts, has recently introduced its ground-breaking ProEco Gel tile adhesive, which has already been successfully utilised in the renovation of Kenny’s convenience store located in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.
Background
Formerly a Lidl store, the building has been completely overhauled to align with Kenny’s brand and customer experience standards. From the updated exterior signage to the interior design, every aspect of the space has been carefully considered to create a welcoming environment for shoppers.
The Challenge
The project was not without its complexities. One of the most critical challenges was the need to minimise disruption as the store remained open throughout the entire renovation process. Therefore, selecting products that provided a rapid turnaround were critical to success.
To support SMC Tiling Contractor with the installation, UltraTile’s Technical Site Support Training Manager, Fred Whitehouse, visited site to assist with specification and product selection.
The Solution
SMC Tiling Contractor turned to UltraTile’s cutting-edge ProEco Gel tile adhesive to fix all wall and floor tiles in this project.
UltraTile ProEco Gel is an innovative and eco-conscious adhesive that combines top performance with environmental responsibility. What’s more, this adhesive boasts a thixotropic formulation allowing for easy application and optimal control.
ProEco Gel’s flexibility is a standout feature, enabling it to withstand slight movement or vibration without compromising its strong bond. Plus, ProEco Gel’s extended workability gives tilers ample time to make adjustments during installation, whilst its enhanced adhesion ensuring a long-lasting, reliable bond.
But what really sets this product apart is its commitment to sustainability. By incorporating an impressive 20% recycled material, UltraTile ProEco Gel reduces its environmental impact without sacrificing quality or performance.
Results
By choosing UltraTile’s ProEco Gel for this project, SMC Tiling Contractor has not only achieved a flawless, long-lasting tile installation but has also demonstrated their commitment to using environmentally conscious products that minimise their carbon footprint without compromising on quality or performance.
On the performance of ProEco Gel, Steven Mcconachie, owner of SMC Tiling Contractor, shared: “ProEco Gel is good, very good. Great for working with larger tiles.”
