What is backfilling?
Backfilling refers to the process of refilling an excavated hole with the aim of providing additional strength and support. A wide range of materials can be used for backfilling, depending on the intended application, but purpose-made backfill concretes are most suitable for traffic applications and trench repairs.
UltraCrete offers a range of high-specification backfill concretes which are perfectly suited for backfilling around manhole frames or gullies, as well as carrying out trench repairs. Our QC10 F backfill concrete is flowable and can be mixed mechanically or by hand for maximum convenience.
How much concrete will I need to backfill a hole?
With our dedicated quantity calculator, finding the correct amount of concrete for your backfill application has never been easier. Simply enter the required depth and area of your excavated hole, and we’ll let you know how much backfill concrete you’ll need.
